If a little works, why not use A LOT?

Okay, here's just another example of how I seem to get ahead of myself when it comes to trying to live a healthy lifestyle.  My daughter has had sinus allergies for the past three years.  We had her on three different prescription medications to manage her allergy symptoms year-round.  When I decided to try to make the switch to "all-natural" remedies, I abruptly stopped her prescriptions and put her on some herbal formulations with pretty decent success.  That is, until the fall pollen season kicked into high gear!  My poor little girl has been struggling with the herbal remedies with little to no relief.  On a recent trip to Dahlonega to visit a gold mine, we saw a man selling local honey on the side of the road...remembering that local honey could also provide immunotherapy, we jumped at buying a jar and immediately began taking a teaspoon of it thrice daily.  Since then, my daughter's congestion has only gotten more intense and less responsive to even pharmaceuticals!  You'd think with my logical mind and usually dead-on deductive reasoning, I'd have made the connection...my husband later suggested maybe we back off on the honey and see what happens.  Lo and behold, we've done just that and she's getting less congested!  Now I'm the first to admit that I can be a dunce in several instances, but I've made it my life's work to try to keep my family healthy and here I was actually impeding progress!!!!!  Guess we'll have to slowly introduce the honey and monitor her progress, I'm just thankful that my husband made the suggestion since I fear that I may not have made that connection for quite some time if EVER!  Life sure has a way of keeping us humble...
